Rinjani 3 Days 2 Nighs Lake and Hotsprings Adventure
The Mount Rinjani 3 Days 2 Nights Lake Trek from Senaru starts with a hike through lush rainforest to the Senaru Crater Rim, overlooking Segara Anak Lake and Mount Barujari. On the second day, trekkers descend to the lake and can choose two options: spend the night camping by Segara Anak Lake with time to relax and visit the hot springs, or return to the crater rim in the afternoon for an overnight camp with panoramic views. The final day follows a long descent through forest trails back to Senaru, completing a classic Rinjani adventure.

Day 0: Pick Up Day
We’ll pick you up the day before your trek and take you to our office in Senaru. Once there, you’ll visit the beautiful Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, then spend the night in Senaru. Transport and accommodation are included. However, you’re also welcome to book your own accommodation or stay outside Senaru—just note that the pick-up time will be adjusted depending on your location.
Day 1: Starting Point → Crater Rim
- 07:30 am, after breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and drive you to park office for registration and get your entry ticket
- After complete, the trek will begin to the post 1 for 45 - 60 minutes
- The trek through thick tropical forest rich in flora, bird life and variety of butterflies. You might see orchid and if lucky, the rare black ebony leaf monkey, known locally as lutung
- Rest stops are taken along the way, and at post 2 Montong Satas shelter ( 1.500m )
- Depending on your preperance and weather conditions, the nights camp is made either in the forest at post 3 Mondokon Lolak (2.000m) after about five hours climb from Senaru, or continue the ascent for another couple of hours through grassy meadows Plawangan 1 Senaru crater rim at 2.641m
- The crater rim are sweeping views across the lake Segara Anak (2.000m) to the summit of Mt. Rinjani
- On a clear evening the Gili Islands, Bali and Mt. Agung can be seen to the west.
- Spend the night here and enjoy your sleep under the stars
Day 2: Senaru crater rim → descent to Segara Anak Lake
- Wake up and enjoying the sunrise and your breakfast
- Prepare to continue the trek down to the crater Segara Anak Lake for 2 hours
- The route down is quite steep and slippery, you have to be careful and don't try to go far from your trekking guide and stay close with him or the porters
- Do not hesitated to ask help with your guide or porters
- A long the way down is a beautiful scenery in front of you, more down and more exciting to take a picture of the baby volcano
- When you arrive at the Segara Anak Lake, just take your time to recover yourself and enjoying the view, you can visit the natural hot spring just 10 minutes from the lake
- While you visit the hot springs, your guide and porters preparing for your lunch
- Optional: you can spend your second night at the Lake or just continue the trek back to the Senaru crater rim, so you can finish earlier than normal time (estimated: 11:00 - 12:00), the normal time is 4:00 - 5:00pm
- Here we assuming that you spend the night at the lake and continue the trek in the next morning
Day 3: Segara Anak Lake → Senaru crater → Senaru village → Finish
- 7.30 - 8.00am, After breakfast we continue the trek back to Senaru crater rim for 3 hours
- When you arrive, you can take a short break then we continue to proceed down to Senaru village for 5 hours (including your lucnh time on the way)
- Reach the Senaru village at 4:00 - 5:00pm (depend on your speed)
- When you arrive, your driver is already waiting to drop you off to your next destination
