Combining summit views, volcanic landscapes, crater lake scenery, and jungle trekking, this 3D2N route is challenging but extremely rewarding, making it the most popular choice for adventurous trekkers visiting Lombok.

Day 0: Pick Up Day
We’ll pick you up the day before your trek and take you to our office in Senaru. Once there, you’ll visit the beautiful Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, then spend the night in Senaru. Transport and accommodation are included. However, you’re also welcome to book your own accommodation or stay outside Senaru—just note that the pick-up time will be adjusted depending on your location.
Day 1: Starting Point → East Crater Rim (Campsite)
- 07:00am, After breakfast, your driver will drive you to Sembalun village
- 08:00am, Registration, get your ticket at Rinjani National Park office and begin the trek to the POST 1 (Pemantauan) 1300m for 2 hours walk from the starting point
- Take a rest for 5/10 minutes at Post 1 (Pemantauan) and then continue to the Post 2 (Tengengean) 1500m for 1 hour
- Here at Post 2, you will have long break for lunch and recover your energy
- After few minutes rest, the trek will continue to the post 3 (Pada Balong ) 1800m for 1 hour
- Take a rest for few minutes before fight up to the Sembalun crater 2639m about 3 hours
- When you arrive at the crater, all the tents is already prepared, the guide and porters will serve you with a hot cup (coffee, tea, lemon tea or milk) and prepared your dinner
- Make sure that you sleep early since you have to wake up at 2am for fight up to the summit!
Day 2: Campsite → Summit → Lake & Hot Springs → Senaru Crater Rim
- 02:00am, Your guide will wake you up and prepared a hot drink and a light breakfast while you have to prepare yourself before hike up to the summit
- 03:00am start the trek heading to the Summit (3726 m) for 3 hours 20 minutes
- The first stage is a moderate climb for 120 minutes, while the second stage is a fairly easy but long trek
- The last hour is very steep and difficult, there are many loose rock, and as you take two steps forward you will slip one step back
- From the Summit, you can see all of Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa and Segara Anak Lake
- After few minutes, we will go down to the Sembalun crater rim (camp) where your second breakfast already prepared by the team
- After breakfast and enough rest, you will then continue the trek descent to Segara Anak Lake for 3 hours
- The trail down to the Lake is very steep and slippery, beware and extra carefully
- When you arrive, you can take a break, get some drinks and visit the natural hot spring just 10 minutes from the Lake
- While you visit the hot spring, the other team will prepare for your lunch where you can enjoy it when you return
- After 2 hours break, you will continue the trek ascent to another crater rim (Senaru crater rim) which need 3 hours to reach it up
- The trail is also steep and slippery, be extra carefully and don't to far from your team
- You will spend the night (second night) at Senaru crater rim, this point is one of the best place to see the Segara Anak Lake and enjoying the sunset
- While you enjoying the sunset, the team will prepare your dinner
Day 3: Senaru Crater Rim → Senaru Village → Finish
- Wake up and enjoying the sunrise and your breakfast
- Prepare to continue the trek descent to Senaru village for 5 hours including your lunch on the way
- Reach the Senaru village at 12:00 - 13:00 (depend on your speed)
- Your driver is already waiting to drop you off to your next destination
